Breakfast Barrage
The April issue of the Journal of the American Dietetic Association reveals what we probably already knew from common sense: approximately half of all cereals are marketed to children, and most of those have poor nutritional content, if any. Bottom-line: kids’ cereals contain 52 percent more sugar than adult cereals and more salt to boot. So, next time you’re in the cereal isle, read the fine print on your children’s cereal choice.
